Arizona Ignites Youth Leadership

Arizona Steps Up for Youth Leadership
July 25–27, 2025
Arizona

In a powerful collaboration, the Young Adults Development Network (YDN) joined forces with the Abayumbe team from Arizona to host a three-day community conference that blended fundraising, leadership building, and pure community energy.
From meaningful presentations to a spirited soccer match with Arizona youth, every moment was a reminder that advocacy is more than words; it’s action, teamwork, and joy.

Result: Together, we raised over $8,000, enough to send a group of young leaders to Washington, D.C. for the YDN Leadership & Advocacy Conference, where they received training in advocacy and leadership before stepping into the halls of Congress to lobby for change.

More Than an Event, A Movement in Motion

This wasn’t just about one conference.
It was about young adults uniting their minds, skills, and passion to create meaningful change in their communities and across the nation.

The Arizona conference was the first step in what will become a yearly tradition, an Annual Arizona YDN Conference that:
- Builds community power
- Trains young leaders
- Sends youth advocates to D.C. every year

This is youth-led, community-rooted leadership in action.

Why This Work Matters
We are a young group of adults, but we are also strategists, organizers, and visionaries. We know how to create change because we live the realities we’re fighting to improve.

When you support YDN, you are:
- Training tomorrow’s leaders today
- Elevating youth voices into decision-making spaces
- Fueling a movement that will repeat, grow, and endure
