Privacy Commitment

The Young Adults Development Network (YDN) is unwaveringly committed to maintaining the privacy, dignity, and safety of every individual who engages with the organization, whether online, offline, or in person. As a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to leadership development, advocacy, and community empowerment, YDN recognizes the trust that youth participants, parents, families, donors, volunteers, staff, and partners place in us. Protecting that trust is central to our organizational culture and mission.

Our work focuses on equipping refugee, immigrant, and low-income young people with the skills, opportunities, and platforms to lead, advocate, and transform their communities. This Privacy Policy establishes the framework through which YDN collects, uses, safeguards, and, where necessary, shares personal information. It is designed to meet all legal obligations under federal, state, and local law, to protect the organization from legal exposure, and to ensure all stakeholders understand their rights, responsibilities, and protections.

Donor Privacy Policy

Donors are critical to the sustainability and growth of YDN’s programs. Every donation entrusted to YDN is treated with our standards of confidentiality, accountability, and ethical stewardship. We do not, under any circumstances, sell, trade, or rent donor information. Limited sharing of donor names and postal addresses may occur only with carefully vetted, mission-aligned nonprofit organizations to support youth advocacy and community empowerment initiatives.

Donors’ email addresses, phone numbers, financial account details, and other sensitive data are never shared without explicit consent. Donors may opt out of any sharing at any time by contacting ydn.info2025@gmail.com or 603-715-0801, and all opt-out requests are processed immediately. This ensures compliance with privacy laws and maintains donor confidence in our transparency and ethical fundraising practices.

Donor information is securely maintained in accordance with nonprofit accounting standards and is used exclusively for donor stewardship, reporting, tax compliance, and relationship management. Detailed records of each contribution are maintained to ensure accuracy, accountability, and protection of both donors and the organization in case of audits or legal inquiries.

YDN may share limited personal information with partners, service providers, or government entities strictly when operationally necessary and only under binding confidentiality agreements. Procedures include encrypted data storage, secure communications, regular audits, risk assessments, and incident response plans. Security measures are complemented by comprehensive staff training and accountability mechanisms to maintain operational excellence and legal compliance.

Cookies do not collect sensitive financial or personal information. Users may adjust their browser settings to refuse cookies, although this may limit functionality and access to certain services.
YDN operates in full compliance with federal, state, and local privacy laws, nonprofit regulatory standards, and child protection statutes. Staff, volunteers, and service providers are trained to follow strict policies regarding the collection, storage, and use of personal data. Violations of these policies by personnel are treated seriously and may result in disciplinary action, including termination and reporting to authorities.

All data-handling processes are documented to provide audit trails, demonstrate compliance, and maintain accountability to donors, regulators, funders, and the public. This ensures that YDN is legally protected and demonstrates responsible stewardship of personal data.

YDN reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy to reflect evolving programs, technologies, partnerships, or legal requirements. Substantive changes will be clearly communicated on the YDN website, including updates to the effective date.
