The Young Adults Development Network (YDN) is a youth-led nonprofit organization dedicated to leadership development, advocacy, and community empowerment. By visiting our website, interacting with our content, making a donation, registering for programs, or otherwise engaging with YDN services, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the following Terms of Use. These Terms are designed to protect YDN, its donors, participants, families, supporters, and partners, while ensuring that all engagement with our platforms and programs aligns with our mission, legal obligations, and organizational values. Users who do not agree with these Terms should not access or use YDN’s website, services, or programs.

YDN is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization committed to equipping refugee, immigrant, and low-income youth with the skills, knowledge, and opportunities necessary to become leaders and advocates in their communities. All programs, content, and services provided by YDN are designed to support this mission. Nothing on our platforms should be interpreted as partisan political activity, political endorsement, or the promotion of any candidate or political party. YDN’s organizational focus remains on empowerment, civic engagement, and leadership development, ensuring that participants can engage in constructive, informed advocacy and community action.

2. Eligibility and Parental Consent

The YDN website and services are generally open to all users, beginning with individuals age 13 and older. Certain programs, workshops, and engagement opportunities are designed for minors under the age of 18, and participation in these programs requires consent from parents or legal guardians. Parents and guardians are responsible for reviewing program guidelines, ensuring the suitability of participation, and confirming that their child understands the rules and expectations of YDN engagement.

By using YDN’s platforms or participating in programs, users affirm that they are legally capable of entering into agreements with YDN and that all information provided is truthful, accurate, and complete. These measures ensure compliance with federal and state laws governing youth participation, privacy, and nonprofit programming.

By submitting content, users grant YDN a nonexclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and distribute their contributions in support of the organization’s mission. YDN reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms, does not meet organizational standards, or undermines the safety, dignity, and inclusivity of the YDN community. This ensures that the environment on YDN platforms remains welcoming, respectful, and aligned with the organization’s core values.

5. Advocacy Tools and Public Statements

YDN provides tools for users to engage in advocacy by sending emails, petitions, or other communications to policymakers, media outlets, and community leaders. Use of these tools may require submission of personal information, such as name, address, and email, to validate participation. Users are solely responsible for the content of their communications, and YDN does not endorse every statement, opinion, or position expressed by individuals using these tools.

These advocacy platforms are provided to encourage civic engagement, social responsibility, and constructive public participation while upholding the organization’s commitment to ethical, legal, and respectful discourse. Users are expected to engage responsibly, and any misuse of these tools may result in revocation of access or further organizational action.

6. Donations, Payments, and Financial Transactions

​

YDN collects donor information solely for the purposes of processing gifts, issuing receipts, and maintaining accurate records to cultivate meaningful and transparent relationships with supporters. YDN does not sell, trade, or share donor information with third parties for commercial purposes.

All online financial transactions are processed through secure, third-party systems. YDN does not retain credit card numbers or other sensitive financial information. Donations are generally final unless submitted in error, in which case correction or refund requests must be made in writing within thirty days to ydn.info2025@gmail.com or by mail to 7130 Vega Way Apt 220, Indianapolis, IN 46241.

YDN maintains strict adherence to nonprofit financial accountability standards, ensuring that funds are used in alignment with the mission and objectives of the organization. YDN operates with zero tolerance for discrimination, harassment, bullying, or abuse in any form. Any violation may result in removal from participation, referral to relevant authorities, or both.

Parents and guardians are responsible for monitoring their child’s engagement in programs, particularly those involving travel, online activity, or group interaction. YDN reserves the right to implement safety measures, including background checks for staff and volunteers, collection of emergency contact information, and execution of medical waivers for specific events or programs. These measures are in place to ensure the highest levels of safety, oversight, and accountability.

Intellectual Property Rights

All content, logos, trademarks, and copyrighted materials on YDN platforms are legally protected. Unauthorized use or reproduction is strictly prohibited. Third-party content appearing on YDN platforms is used with permission and remains the property of its original creators. Parental consent is required for participation of minors under 18, and YDN takes immediate action if unsafe behavior, abuse, or policy violations are reported.
